Adam Smith: The Kirkcaldy Papers – launch of new book on Smith’s legacy
Published: 11 December 2023
"Adam Smith: The Kirkcaldy Papers” was launched at an event in Kirkcaldy’s Old Kirk.
The book is a collection of essays from 15 speakers, who took part in a major symposium in June, at the Old Kirk as part of Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith’s tercentenary programme. Contributions were made by the University of Glasgow’s Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Professor Graeme Roy and Professor Kat Riach.
The launch was organised by Professor Roger Mullin, Kirkcaldy’s former MP, who hopes the book will continue to shine a light on Smith’s influence. Guests included broadcaster Robert Peston and Scottish actress and comedian Elaine C. Smith.
Requests to receive a copy of the book can be sent to adamsmith300@glasgow.ac.uk.
