Eugenio Proto (Alec Cairncross) Professor of Economics at the University of Glasgow, led a workshop on Inequality, Poverty, and Equal Opportunities.

Academics from the Universities of Aix-Marseilles, Antwerp, London and Rome discussed a variety of subjects, including the moderation effect of social capital in the relationship between income, social comparisons, and subjective well-being: child wellbeing; and income rank and pain inequalities around the world.
