Gintastic
An exclusive University-branded gin created by alumna Helen Stewart (MA 2017) has been launched this summer. You may remember reading about Helen’s micro gin distillery in a previous Avenue when we featured some of our young entrepreneurs. Badvo Distillery near Pitlochry is based on Helen’s family farm and all the botanicals for the gin are foraged from the farm. The University gin, named “1451” after the year the institution was founded, is described as predominantly sweet apple with a wild mint finish. You can order direct at badvo.com.
