Professor Moyra Boland (Chair)
Professor Moyra Boland, Dean for Global Engagement for Central and South Asia, University of Glasgow
Prior to joining University of Glasgow, Moyra Boland taught drama in both primary and secondary schools in Glasgow. She has worked for Scottish Opera with Opera for youth and has directed a large number of Youth plays. She has also worked in Community Theatre on large-scale projects involving members of the community from 5 years old to 85 years old. She has worked in TV and radio on Youth Programmes and been a regular contributor to Current Affair programmes on the Subject of Teacher Leadership and Teacher quality.
Moyra Boland is a former Deputy Head of the School of Education, responsible for the strategic leadership of the school, deputising for the Head of School, for all the undergraduate provision and the development of international renowned teacher education programmes, community education programmes, leadership and management programmes for teacher and early years programmes.
Her current role is Dean for Global Engagement in Central and South Asia, she is responsible for establish priorities and facilitate decisions that will enhance and support strategic internationalisation initiatives. Supporting and promoting academic business development including the delivery of education, collaborative research, knowledge transfer activities, student experience and recruitment.
Priyanka Sethi
Priyanka Sethi, Head of Strategy and Sales, Education, Communication, Media and Information Systems, UK&I Tata Consultancy Services
Priyanka is a strategic leader with over 20 years of international experience across strategy, sales, marketing and consulting. She has spent a significant part of her career leading strategic transformations across the Education, Telecom, Media (new media, publishing, broadcasting, agencies) and Information Services sector.
Priyanka joined TCS in 2011 and has led the CMI sector growth in the UK and is now also focusing on building a strong education sector. Prior to TCS, Priyanka has held senior roles within the IT services industry. Priyanka started her career within the tech-startup segment and continues to invest and advise early-stage ventures in education, media and art.
Priyanka also leads the Good Growth community for TCS in the UK created to encourage and support women led businesses. She is passionate about encouraging STE(A)M careers within the youth and particularly for girls and is an HRH Ambassador for the Industrial Cadets. Priyanka continues to volunteer her time into sustainability led programmes.
Jasmine McGlone
Jasmine McGlone, Global Opportunities Intern, University of Glasgow
As an intern for UofG Global Opportunities Jasmine works across both the incoming and outgoing teams, facilitating the mobility experiences of both visiting students and UofG students undergoing an exchange year abroad.
Jasmine undertook an Erasmus exchange to Spain in 2019/20 as part of a Spanish degree, which exceeded all expectations, providing invaluable life experiences and skills beyond an improvement in Spanish.
The success of this year encouraged Jasmine to begin working with international students here in Glasgow as an international student mentor, and then now to her role as an intern within Global Opportunities.
Zita Toth
Zita Toth, Global Opportunities Intern, University of Glasgow
Zita is a Global Opportunities Intern and a final year Modern Languages student at the University of Glasgow. As an intern, she assists the Global Opportunities Team in incoming and outgoing exchange student support.
Zita studied abroad at the University of Porto in 2019/2020 and in 2021, she did a work placement as an International Relations Assistant at ESIC Business & Marketing School in Valencia, Spain.
Thanks to these experiences, Zita combines the perspectives of the different stakeholders involved in mobility programmes, such as exchange students, trainees and interns abroad, and coordinators.
