Fukushima University, founded in 1946 and situated in the Tōhoku region of Japan, is home to approximately 4400 students across 4 faculties and 4 graduate programmes. With over 100 athletic and cultural student circles, the University offers a student life rich with activities.
Fukushima is the third largest prefecture in Japan, known for its picturesque scenery, which was described as a fairyland by the famous photographer Akiyama. The region is one of the largest producers of fruit, with its peaches in particular being famous around the world. It offers easy access to the capital, Tokyo, which is less than two and a half hours away by train.
