Supporting students and staff to embrace new learning spaces
In a previous edition of Connect, we invited you to join us at The Guild's seminar series on education in March, chaired by Professor Moira Fischbacher-Smith, Vice-Principal of Learning & Teaching at the University of Glasgow.
The event focused on our experience of designing the James McCune Smith Learning Hub, our flagship state-of-the-art learning & teaching facility. Over 80 participants attended the seminar and heard from a range of contributors - both internal and external to the University - on topics such as encouraging students to take ownership of the new space, involving students in the whole process, supporting active learning, and ensuring consistency across the campus by standardising some of the technologies.
