Professor David Akombo conducts our choir
Professor David Akombo from the University of the West Indies visited the University of Glasgow and conducted our Chapel Choir and members of the wider university community in performing three of his own compositions.
Professor Akombo is an internationally recognised educator, researcher and scholar in the fields of music education and interdisciplinary research in the arts and health.

In 2019, the University of Glasgow signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The University of the West Indies which led to the establishment of the Glasgow-Caribbean Centre for Development Research.
Since then staff from both institutions have collaborated on many different projects, including a Master of Arts Programme in Reparatory Justice which offers courses from the UWI, University of Glasgow and Brown University (affiliated university).
