MAY EDITION

Education and research are explicitly referenced in a number of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the sector has responded via the creation and dissemination of knowledge and a commitment to engage with our communities locally, nationally and internationally.

At Glasgow, I am proud that we have now launched our Glasgow Green sustainability strategy that sets out a bold and ambitious vision for our University, whilst our new Centre for Sustainable Solutions will coordinate our sustainability-themed research, ensuring that sustainability is woven into our curriculum along with tools to improve staff/student knowledge.

With COP26 on the horizon, and the world in need of creative solutions more than ever before, we can, and must, drive systems leadership and enable frictionless collaboration to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
