OCTOBER EDITION
We are delighted that Glasgow is playing host to COP26 this year. It provides us with an incredible platform to showcase the important role that higher education plays in developing innovative solutions to the climate emergency, whilst also sharing the world-changing work of our community here at the University of Glasgow, and the activity that we are delivering with international partners across sectors.
Climate change is a complex and multifaceted issue that cannot be solved by one discipline or institution alone. The environmental crisis remains one of the most pressing issues we face today and as universities we have a moral responsibility to do all that we can to tackle it. It is our duty to address this issue, not only through our research, but also through our learning and teaching, innovation and civic engagement – and this can be done to greatest effect through partnership.
Best wishes,
