Fully-funded 3 year PhDs
The BHF Centre of Research Excellence offers 3 year fully-funded PhDs for Clinicians. One of our flagship training programmes, clinicians have the opportunity to undertake a PhD research programme at the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health, bringing their clinical experience and knowledge together with basic science to explore a specific research pathology question in the field of vascular science and biomedicine.
Previous BHF CoRE Clinical Fellows have investigated topics such as; cardiovascular and metabolic associations in chronic inflammatory disease, vascular effects of chemotherapeutic agents: molecular mechanisms and clinical implications, salt homeostasis in cardiovascular disease, the cardiovascular complications of chronic kidney disease and more.
