Emerging Themes in Resistance Biology
The development of biocides represents a powerful tool for the control of pests and pathogens, yet the evolution and spread of resistance threatens the sustainability of this approach. The aim of this meeting is to bring together individuals working on different aspects of biocide resistance at the University of Glasgow, to discuss similarities and differences in their respective systems. A series of talks will be followed by a panel discussion to consider issues such as the evolutionary sustainability of resistance management and how best to mitigate resistance in the field. A variety of speakers from the University of Glasgow will address these issues joined by the invited speaker, Alex Hall from ETH, Zurich.
