The Centre for Data Science & AI is pleased to announce the appointment of four new Programme Directors, who will each bring a wealth of expertise and vision to their respective areas. These appointments are a significant step towards enhancing cross-disciplinary collaboration and driving new research directions within the University.

The new Programme Directors are:

  • Katy Tant – Programme Director for Data Science & AI for Physical Sciences and Engineering
  • Louise Harris – Programme Director Data Science & AI for Arts and Humanities
  • Sandosh Padmanabhan and Phillippe Schyns – Co-Director for AI in Health and Life Sciences
  • Bridgette Wessels – Programme Director for Data Science & AI in Economics and Social Sciences

Each Programme Director will play a crucial role in promoting the integration of data science and AI across diverse fields, fostering innovation, and encouraging new research projects. Their leadership will be instrumental in supporting collaborations within the university and beyond, helping to bridge the gap between disciplines and create impactful, interdisciplinary research initiatives.
