Associations between ambient outdoor temperature and patterns of morbidity and mortality in Scotland
Published: 1 April 2016
This study was designed to plug a gap in understanding of the link, or absence of a link, between heat and cold and public health. If we understand the thresholds where heat and cold affect public health, suitable interventions can be designed and implemented. This will help prepare the population for spells of extreme heat and cold.
