Sustainable Solutions Showcase - A COP26 Exhibition from the Centre for Sustainable Solutions
Sustainable Solutions Showcase - A COP26 Exhibition
The Centre for Sustainable Solutions launched in April 2020. We enable individuals, communities and organisations to act towards a sustainable future through education, research and partnership. We support interdisciplinary, cross-campus and cross-sectoral solutions to climate change, to ensure the University of Glasgow can meet the ambitions of its strategic response to the climate crisis: Glasgow Green.
For COP26 we brought together research projects, innovative technologies, and fun activities from all areas of the University into one day-long exhibition in the University's beautiful and historic Hunter Halls.
From a crowd-collaborative video game where you can use your smartphone to try managing a carbon "budget", to a range of activities for children to explore sustainability, to a water tank and CO2 measuring chamber to demonstrate research with coastal wetlands, to interactive exhibitions on sensors, 5G and quantum technologies and how they can help the fight against climate change ... and much more!
