Solas Festival is hosting a unique showcase of cultural events under the theme of Home in partnership with Prof. Alison Phipps, the first UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts; GRAMNet, and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
Alison’s work relates to the themes of home, land, languages – mother tongues and acquired languages, of refugee and asylum and displacement and of the way in which the arts and spirituality in particular might aid processes of integration and new belongings in communities providing a home for those who have been displaced.
