Published: 25 October 2018
Prof Alison Phipps responds to Call 14: From homelessness to the Home Office, young people's services must be humanised
Children in Scotland brings together a network of people working with and for children, alongside children and young people themselves, to offer a broad, balanced and independent voice.
Their anniversary campaign issues 25 Calls to change children’s lives for the better. Bringing together diverse voices from across the sector, they propose how children can experience greater equality and strengthened human rights.
Prof Alison Phipps was asked to respond to Call 14: From homelessness to the Home Office, young people's services must be humanised.
Leo Plumb, Ian Hamilton and the young people from the Youth Community Support Agency (YCSA),a charity based in Pollockshields, focus on their experiences of coming to Scotland, what makes for a meaningful welcome, and the quality of support they were offered.
