Virtual Spring School 2021 CALL now live
Published: 31 January 2021
We are looking for contributions for the 2021 Spring School: The Arts of Integrating. Apply now!
The UNESCO RILA Spring School: The Arts of Integrating is moving online! The theme for the 2021 edition is MayDay, in the broadest sense of the word. Dates of the event: 17/05-28/05 2021, two full weeks of goodness!
We invite artistic, academic, artistically academic and academically artistic contributions to our third Spring School which connect with this theme of ‘MayDay’- of the ‘International Radio Distress Signal’. We have widened the scope this year to include proposals linked to COP26 (cry for help from the planet) and covid (how to help each other during the pandemic).
As this is a virtual event, we are asking contributors to be creative in their use of the virtual space, their time and in the way they engage with participants.
We have a strong preference for offline activities, paired with shorter live sessions. We encourage contributors to spread their sessions out over a few days, to give participants time to reflect and prepare. You can really be as creative as you like, we are open to new ideas, experimental audience engagement and collaborative sessions across the two weeks. Please do not let your imagination be limited by the Zoom room.
If you have an idea for a session, but you're not sure how best to present it in this context, just send an email to Bella at bella.hoogeveen@glasgow.ac.uk and she will get back to you to discuss your idea. The deadline for application is 1 March 2021.
