The success story that is the Blantyre Blantyre Research Facility appears in the latest Royal College of Physicians Glasgow, members newsletter (VOICE). The article jointly written by Prof Paul Garside University of Glasgow, Dean for Global Engagement (Africa & Middle East) and Dr Mwapatsa Mipando, Past Principal, Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, Malawi gives an overview of the lessons learnt in the process of bringing the Blantyre Blantyre project to fruition. It gives advice on what makes a successful global health partnership, and what works well. A truly successful global health partnership will fit with in country national priorities and have wider benefits beyond its original objective and tackle broader issues.
