We are recruiting an intern to assist with the third annual UNESCO RILA Spring School in May 2020.  Please note that you MUST be a current Postgraduate research student within the College of Social Sciences to apply. 

The intern will support the preparation and delivery of the UNESCO RILA Spring School in Glasgow, also providing assistance with the event evaluation.  For more information on the Spring Schools click here.

The Intern will work as part of a small team to develop the Call for Participants, interacting with stakeholders to select and schedule workshops to generate the structure of this interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder knowledge exchange event.  The development and execution of a strategy to promote the Spring School will be a major aspect of this role and the intern will be expected to take charge of the UNESCO RILA social media account, and contribute to the GRAMNet blog. 

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills and an open and friendly manner; good IT skills including a good grasp of Microsoft packages, social media platforms; proven planning, organising and prioritising abilities including maintaining accurate records relating to project data and project progress.

By the end of the internship the successful candidate will have developed new skills in participatory research methods and in facilitating participatory workshops; will demonstrate a track record for knowledge exchange through the experience of planning and delivering a stakeholder Spring school as part of a research team; will have developed reporting, recording and social media skills for representing the research and workshop findings. In addition they will have developed considerable contacts in the public and third sector as well as with researchers in higher education who have a focus on participatory methods.
