Augmented Reality Policy Launch

Researchers at the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience, University of Glasgow, will be launching their new augmented reality (AR) policy report at the Advanced Research Centre, on the 23rd of May, where they will share the story of their research network, the research findings, and discuss their policy recommendations.

New British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Andrea Blomkvist from 1 January 2024 to the CSPE. She has won a prestigious British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship, to work with Professor Fiona Macpherson, on the topic of the imagination. The position will last for three years. Concurrently, Dr Blomkvist will hold a University of Glasgow LKAS (Lord Kelvin/Adam Smith) Fellowship.

Researchers at the CSPE, and their collaborator in Germany have won an AHRC-DFG grant of approximately three quarters of a million pounds to fund work on the philosophy of perception.

The case was the Blind Mind's Eye and Fiona discussed how different philosophers' and psychologists' imagery capacities may have influenced their thoeries of how the mind works.
